Deutsche Telekom AG
This global award recognizes our company’s efforts, which have been years in the making, highlighting our innovative culture and sustainable pine chemicals heritage. The road construction industry has long been active in using reclaimed asphalt (RA). However, the challenge in reusing more than 30 percent RA in new asphalt mixes is the aged binder, which is more prone to crack.
In its description of the winning entry, Ethical Corporation stated that Arizona Chemical “presented new ways of innovating asphalt in a holistic sustainable manner.” Their vision went beyond its product’s functionality to consider its role within the circular economy. It is also proving to be a game changer in road construction, as more than 50 tests and trials around the world have confirmed the effectiveness of SYLVAROAD™ RP1000.
Nella Baerents, Sustainability Policy Director congratulated the Roads & Construction group for the development and launch of this innovative product. “Their efforts fit well with our goal to offer customers innovative and sustainable solutions that provide optimal value.”
